About this programme

This practical programme has been designed to introduce you to the dynamic and revolutionary world of multi-media and design and prepare you to work in a variety of creative fields.

Students acquire a solid based by exploring a variety of design disciplines using both traditional and modern digital media technologies.  From developing a design concept through to the final product, learning different software applications, students are guided to develop their unique talents.

Design software applications

Software programmes used in the course include Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Animate and Audition.  This range of applications allows students to express their wildest ideas with precision and to work fluidly across media.

Certification on successful completion of studies

Successful students will be awarded the following Unigrad College Short Learning Programme Certificates: 

  • Graphic design
  • Web and online design fundamentals
  • Foundational 3D design

Admission Requirements

Grade 12 National Senior Certificate, or appropriate N3 certificate, or equivalent.

 If you are in the process of completing Grade 12, apply / register with your Grade 11 or most recent Grade 12 results.

Fees

Study material, textbooks and assessments are included in the course fee.  The art kit is not included.  A list of items required will be provided a month prior to the start of lectures.  Students should also budget for printing.

Programme duration

1 year of full-time lectures presented at Unigrad College.

Semester 1: February – June  |  Semester 2: July – November
