More Than a Course: Event Management Skills in Action
At Unigrad College, learning extends beyond the standard curriculum. Full-time Office Administration and Tourism students also participate in an exciting Event Management Workshop designed to introduce them to the fast-paced world of planning and coordinating successful events.
During the workshop, students explore important aspects of event management, including developing an event concept, planning, budgeting, marketing, teamwork, problem-solving and coordinating activities. Guest speakers share valuable industry insights, while group activities give students an opportunity to develop and present their own ideas. Students also visit a professional studio to experience some of the technical and creative work that takes place behind the scenes.
Event management skills are valuable across many industries.
Offices, tourism businesses, hotels, community organisations and corporate companies regularly require people who can assist with meetings, launches, conferences, functions and promotional events. These skills may also help young people generate an income by organising their own events or starting a small event-related business.
On completion of the workshop, participating students receive additional certification from Unigrad College. This gives them more than another certificate for their CV—it provides practical knowledge, greater confidence and skills they can use in the workplace or to create opportunities of their own.
